National Polling

Data, methods, and findings from PTSI polling.

The Peace Through Strength Institute commissioned a national poll in May 2025 to assess American voter attitudes toward the war in Ukraine. The survey measures public opinion on U.S. national interests, military assistance, sanctions on Russia, and the moral stakes of the conflict. The results offer clear insights into what American voters believe the United States should do to confront Russian aggression and support Ukraine’s fight for sovereignty.

Bill Cole, Founder of the Peace Through Strength Institute, commented that the poll results suggest Americans see a win in Ukraine as beneficial for both President Trump and the U.S., citing reasons such as weakening Russia, promoting drone technology, and strengthening U.S. leadership without deploying American troops. Cole described the aid as a strategic investment, arguing that voters understand that preventing Russia's advances now could prevent a more dangerous and costly conflict later. The poll was conducted in late May 2025 among likely American voters using SMS/MMS text-to-web, with a 95% confidence level and a 3% standard margin of error
